Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at Millersville University that is authorized as an accelerated or 4+1 program can use this application. Completing this application does not indicate acceptance into the accelerated master's program. You will receive information regarding your program once the program coordinators and the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Adult Learning have approved this application.

Accelerated BASW to MSW

In accordance with PASSHE regulations, the School of Social Work is able to offer an accelerated Bachelor's of Social Work (BASW) to Master's of Social Work (MSW) program which permits qualified undergraduate students with at least junior standing to take graduate coursework that will apply to both degrees.

Through this arrangement, a student may be provisionally accepted into the MSW program and fully admitted upon completion of their undergraduate degree so long as all other program admission requirements have been met. These requirements include: successful completion of the BASW program, including practicum, submission of a completed application to the MSW program and all attendant requirements, and review of application materials by the admissions committee.

I must have junior standing and have 60 competed credits.
I am not currently subject to a professional development plan or disciplinary action.
I understand that I must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 to remain in the accelerated program.
I understand that only grades of B or better in a MSW elective will be eligible for transfer to the MSW program.
I understand that my admission to the MSW is provisional and I must successfully complete the BASW program in order to be considered for full admission to the MSW program
I understand that I must submit an admissions application to be considered for full admission to the MSW program.
I understand that MSW electives may not transfer to other MSW programs.
