SEVIS Registration (F-1 & J-1 Students)

This form provides information to the Office of International Programs & Services that will facilitate the SEVIS Registration process and other reporting functions. This form must be submitted each fall and spring semester by all F & J students.

All MSW students will need to submit this form for the summer term as well.

To complete your SEVIS registration, you must physically report to the International Programs & Services Office no later than the first week of classes to check in. Please bring an ID.

The rules set by USCIS are very strict, and students should not apply for an EAD based on Economic Hardship unless they are certain that their situations meet all the criteria. Keep in mind that this benefit is intended to address situations where a financial need beyond the student’s control arises, which was unforeseen at the time the student applied to the school they are currently attending, and after all other potential employment opportunities have proven to be insufficient.
